Hepatitis B vaccination

Diagnostiek voor U only vaccinates for institutions with whom we have a contract agreement. If your educational institution or employer has given you a form from Diagnostiek voor U, that means we can vaccinate you. Some vaccinations can be performed on location. Ask your educational institution or employer about this.

You must have a form to receive your first vaccination. If you do not have this form, you cannot get vaccinated. You can get a new form from your employer or educational institution.

Every vaccination contributes to your overall degree of protection. Did you receive your vaccination less than one year ago? If so, you can receive the remaining injections in accordance with the schedule (0-5 months). You can write this information on the form yourself. You must then have a titer test performed. Did you receive your vaccination more than one year ago? If so, you must go through the entire hepatitis B vaccination programme (three vaccination at 0-1-6 months and a titer test).

Every vaccination contributes to your overall degree of protection. If you have already received two vaccinations in the past, you can now opt for a “Booster” (one vaccination and a titer test) on the form you receive from your new employer or educational institution. For this, it does not matter when you received your two vaccinations.

In this case, it is important to know how long it has been since the last of your three vaccinations. If it has been fewer than five years, it is enough to have a titer test performed. You can check this option on your form. If it has been more than five years, you must choose a Booster instead (one vaccination and a titer test).

According to current medical insights, you will be adequately protected for life. This means you do not have to get vaccinated again.

We recommend following the normal vaccination schedule as closely as possible. We can only deviate from this in exceptional cases.
Minimum intervals are:

Between the first and second vaccination: at least four weeks
Between the second and third vaccination: at least eight weeks
Between the first and third vaccination: at least sixteen weeks
The titer test must be performed four to eight weeks after the third vaccination.

If you have any questions about your hepatitis B vaccination because you missed a vaccination or did not complete the programme or if you cannot remember if or when you were vaccinated, please contact the consultants of Diagnostiek voor U via consulenten@diagnostiekvooru.nl.

If your temperature is higher than 38 degrees Celsius, you cannot get vaccinated.

Getting vaccinated while pregnant is not recommended. Instead, you are advised to wait until after you have given birth. Although no harmful side effects are expected, insufficient data are available on the subject. You can only get vaccinated during your pregnancy with an indication and after conferring with your general practitioner or physician. Getting vaccinated while breastfeeding is not a problem.

This is not a problem, so you can get vaccinated.

We recommend waiting at least fourteen days after receiving a coronavirus vaccination before getting another vaccination. If you experience any adverse reactions after getting vaccinated, it is easier to determine which vaccination is the cause. After receiving a hepatitis B vaccination, you can receive a coronavirus vaccination after at least fourteen days. In other words, there should be at least fourteen days between a hepatitis vaccination and a coronavirus vaccination.

If you are not exhibiting any symptoms of the flu, you can get vaccinated again.

Yes, you can get vaccinated.

Het advies is dan (meestal) een verkort hervaccinatieschema: nogmaals 3 dezelfde vaccinaties met steeds 1 maand interval. Dan 4-6 weken na de laatste prik weer bloedafname voor een titerbepaling.
