Your general practitioner has signed you up for Diagnostiek voor U's Cardiovascular Risk service. This means we will summon you one or more times per year to have your blood sampled and - usually - to drop off a sample of your morning urine.
Why do I need this exam?
Regular check-ups are important for the effective treatment of the risk factors for cardiovascular disease. Effective treatment of these risk factors reduces the risk of developing cardiovascular disease. In addition to the exams performed by your general practitioner or nurse practitioner, blood and urine tests form an important aspect of this.
What will we do?
An employee of Diagnostiek voor U will take a sample of your blood. If a urine test is also required, our employee will collect your urine sample.
Duration of the exam
In total, sampling your blood and dropping off your urine sample will only take a few minutes.
The results
We will send the results of your examination to your general practitioner. Schedule an appointment with your general practitioner or nurse practitioner to discuss your results.
You can also check the results of your exam in the MijnDiagnostiekvoorU client portal. You are free to choose whether you want to look at your results before discussing them with your caregiver.
